Homosexuality and weak thought: unpublished interview with Gianni Vattimo
Dear friends, dear friends,
we mark an unpublished interview with Gianni Vattimo, born in 1936, a popular intellectual Turin, among other things, for introducing philosophy in the concept of "weak thought." In the fifties, Vattimo has worked in the cultural programs of the RAI. He has taught in several universities in the world aesthetics and his work has received honorary doctorates from the universities of La Plata, Palermo, Madrid and the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Lima.
In this interview, held to mark the "Salerno Pride 2005" and so far unpublished, are discussing Christianity and secularization from his book "To believe to believe. You can be a Christian in spite of the church?" (Garzanti), and how he influenced the his homosexuality in the development of weak thought.
Good reading. Pasquale Quaranta
